Showcasing Women-Owned Businesses in Northern Virginia and Beyond!

Hear our speaker tell her story

about how she succeeded in life!

Due to Covid-19 restrictions,

Sterling Women will be live-streamed from Belmont Country Club via Zoom

Sterling Women was founded in 2008 by Kristina Bouweiri to provide a networking opportunity for business women in the Sterling, Virginia area. Twelve years later, Sterling Women has established itself as the leading women's networking event in the area. In 2020 Kristina asked Cynthia Battino to assume hosting duties each month. Cindy Battino brings a vibrancy and joyfulness to the podium every month, that only an accomplished and certified happiness expert can.

Each month we invite a successful and inspiring business woman to speak to our audience about her personal and professional journey. Our lunches are one hour, starting at noon and ending at 1:00 PM.  Networking will be available from 11:00 AM until noon and again from 1:00 to 1:30 PM.  Vendor tables and exciting door prizes will be featured.

(unless a conflict arises where we will need to change the date and/or location)

Kristina Bouweiri, CEO Reston Limo, Founder, Sterling Women

In March, 2020 the world as we knew it changed completely with the spread of COVID-19. As group events were prohibited across the nation, we knew we had to remain a support for the women (and men) that had made Sterling Women the strong network it had become, so we took it online.

By July, as we were able to begin having smaller group events we recognized that not everyone could come to an in-person event. We also learned, that our Zoom events, brought to you in your own homes, allowed for a unique and intimate setting for the Sterling Women community. It's a different way to interact with each other, another way to connect with our speakers and sponsors. A significant way to assure that we continue to promote each other's business to as broad a community as we can even with our new and differing needs during this time.

Thus, The Inner Circle was born. As its relevancy proved itself to us over and over again, we've made this a staple of our monthly meetings. Open to the first 20 who register, we invite you to connect with, us and our speaker on a deeper level from the comfort of your home office - or wherever you find yourself. The Zoom platform opens to registrants at 12:00, with network and time for everyone to introduce themselves and their business to the group, Cindy then interviews the speaker, ending with Q&A, door prizes and closing remarks at 1:15pm.

THE INNER CIRCLE OCCURS THE FRIDAY FOLLOWING THE STERLING WOMEN LIVE EVENT(registrants will receive an email before the event with the Zoom link).

Kim Tapper, PCC, CTP, Co-Founder of A Place To Be (APTB)

Kim Tapper co-founded A Place To Be, a Loudoun-based nonprofit that uses the clinical power of music therapy to help people with disabilities, medical and mental health struggles face, navigate and overcome life challenges.  APTB not only helps individuals reach their personal therapy goals, but it is a place centered around belonging, love, inclusion, kindness and hope.  This is Kim’s third nonprofit, believing deeply in the power of engaging community in helping one another to elevate the lives of all.   As a Life Coach, Kim spent years working primarily with teens, young adults and women focused on finding their voice, making meaning out of challenging situations, reducing anxiety and boosting resiliency, confidence and self-esteem.

In her first chapter, Kim was a professional dancer and choreographer creating work focused on connecting communities together through dance.  Kim is an advocate for personal growth and helping people live with meaning, value, joy and connection.

Radiance Salon & Medi-Spa

I have been attending Sterling Women since its inception 13 years ago. And Radiance Salon & Medi-Spa has been a sponsor for most of those years. While I have frequented numerous networking events over the years, Sterling Women continues to be the most meaningful to me.

I have developed many great friendships by meeting women at Sterling Women, and then getting to know them on a one-to-one basis over coffee, lunch, or a drink. It is always gratifying to look throughout the room at a Sterling Women luncheon and see so many friends.

While Sterling Women has benefited me personally, it has also benefited my businesses. Both the founder, Kristina Bouweiri, and the current host, Cindy Battino, continually promote Radiance Salon & Medi-Spa and provide opportunities for me to bring the Radiance experience to others.

Natasha Magrath, President/ Owner

You’ve Got Maids of Northern Virginia

I consider Sterling Women the leading business networking organization in Northern Virginia for woman-led businesses.  As the owner of the highest rated cleaning service in the area, Sterling Women provides a monthly forum to elevate my company’s brand and affords me the opportunity to meet and converse with like-minded business leaders.  Each meeting is an opportunity to learn valuable insights from others that I can apply to my business.

Cort Maddox, Business Coach

Silver Line Coaching

I decided to participate and be a part of this amazing business networking group because it is such an uplifting and wonderful group of people and while I found that to be confirmed, I also found so much more.  Through the challenging times of COVID, this was a group of people supporting one another and building each other up through the trials and tribulations that were presented around each corner.  If you are looking for a group of strong independent people that will lift you up with them, this is a great group to be a part of.  Thank you Cindy and Sterling Women!
