Tanya Matthews is the President of TMG Construction Corporation of Purcellville, Virginia. TMG is a full-service general contractor whose motto is “builder of lifelong relationships”. Founded by Ms. Matthews in 1992, TMG has developed a portfolio that includes hundreds of projects at Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport last year alone. TMG has 65 employees in five offices and is one of the largest vendors of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. TMG recently completed the new Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility (Station 301) at DCA and is responsible for getting IAD’s new Air Traffic Control Tower to the finish line.
Ms. Matthews also is an internationally recognized expert in Design-Build construction. She has held key management positions in several large construction and engineering companies, including Glen Construction Company, Dewberry and Davis and Parsons Brinckerhoff. Ms. Matthews served as the industry lobbyist representing architecture, engineering, and construction interests on Capitol Hill and in all 50 state legislatures for the Design-Build Institute of America, where she was elected as Chairman of the Board in 1999. Engineering News Record magazine named her as a top leader in the world in Design-Build. She has served as a visiting professor at numerous colleges and universities around the world and she holds five academic degrees. Ms. Matthews and her husband, Joe, live on a farm outside Purcellville, Virginia, where they are raising their two six-year-old sons.

About Kathy Benson
Kathleen Benson is the President of Office Remedies, Inc.
